Last Updated: 29-11-2025

Introduction

At Gali Gali Cricket League (GGCL), we believe that cricket is a universal sport - one that unites players, fans, and communities from all walks of life. GGCL is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where racism in any form has no place. Our Anti-Racism Code reflects this core principle and applies to everyone involved - players, officials, coaches, staff, and spectators.

What Is Racism?

For the purposes of this Code, racism includes any words, actions, or behaviours that demean, exclude, or discriminate against a person or group on the basis of:

  • Race
  • Ethnicity
  • Nationality
  • Colour
  • Cultural or linguistic background
  • Religion or caste

Racist behaviour can occur in speech, on or off the field, in person, online, or during any GGCL-related activity.

Our Zero Tolerance Policy

GGCL has a zero tolerance policy toward racism. We are committed to:

  • Promoting equality, respect and dignity for all
  • Ensuring that discriminatory behaviour is not tolerated at any level
  • Taking decisive action against anyone who undermines these values

This policy applies to:

  • Players
  • Team Officials (coaches, managers, trainers)

Everyone representing or participating in GGCL activities is expected to uphold this Code.
